FAQs — Family-Run Bespoke Fitted Furniture
Common questions about Custom Creations — family operated, 25-year warranty, genuine Blum fittings with lifetime warranty, no pushy sales, and true bespoke fitted furniture made in our Verwood, Dorset workshop.
- Are you really family operated?
- Yes — Custom Creations has been family-owned, with over forty years' experience, and is run by the second and third generations from our Verwood workshop. The person who measures your room is part of the same family team who'll help you choose finishes and fit the furniture — never a sub-contractor.
- What guarantee do you offer?
- Every piece of furniture we make comes with a 25-year guarantee on the carcass and joinery. On top of that, we fit genuine Blum fixtures and fittings, which carry Blum's own lifetime warranty — so the moving parts you use every day are built to last.
- What makes your furniture 'true bespoke'?
- Many companies call themselves bespoke but actually assemble fixed-size, off-the-shelf cabinets and trim them to fit. We design and build every unit around your exact room — your dimensions, your layout, your finishes — so it fits floor to ceiling and wall to wall, with no awkward gaps or filler panels.
- Will I get a pushy sales visit?
- No. Our home design visit is free, friendly and no-obligation. We measure up, talk through what's possible and leave you with a written quote and finish samples to keep. There are no countdown discounts, no pressure to sign on the day, and no inflated prices — just honest advice.
- Do you offer a free home design visit?
- Yes — every project starts with a free, no-obligation home design visit. One of the family team will measure the room, talk you through the options and leave you with samples. You'll receive a written, fixed quote within five working days.
- Do you cover my area?
- We design and fit across Dorset and the surrounding areas — including Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne, Ferndown, Verwood, Ringwood, Dorchester, Weymouth, Swanage and many villages in between — typically within an 80km radius of our Verwood workshop. Not sure if you're in our service area? Just ask.
- How long does a typical project take?
- Once your design is signed off, a 20% deposit secures your fitting date. Most fitted wardrobes are fitted in 2–3 days on site; under-stair cupboards in a single day; walk-in wardrobes and kitchens in 4–7 days.
