At Custom Creations, we love to find innovative and stylish storage solutions in homes across Dorset and Hampshire. We were approached by a customer who was completing a renovation and required a modern, updated look for her daughter’s bedroom.  Whilst the room was a good size, there was a lot of wasted space and very little storage, the perfect room for bespoke bedroom furniture!

Bespoke Fitted Wardrobes

When our customer moved into their home, there was a fitted wardrobe and desk, but it didn’t make use of all the space that the alcoves provided. There was also a sink that took up precious cupboard space. Our expert designers assessed the space and came up with a solution to incorporate bespoke fitted wardrobes and drawers. This gives our customer’s daughter plenty of storage space but also serves other functions. Our bedroom furniture from Dorset maximised storage depth by fitting the wardrobes in front of each alcove. This allowed us to install a large selection of hanging and shelf storage inside the fitted wardrobes.

The chimney breast in the room was ideal for installing drawers in front of it, creating more storage and doubling as a dressing table. This bespoke bedroom furniture solution not only added much-needed storage but also improved the symmetry of the room. For a timeless look, we used Egger White Havana Pine and Dust Grey. These fresh colours mean that the room took on a warm and comfortable tone – perfect for our customer now and for her daughter for many years to come.

Bay Window Storage

This room is full of character and featured a beautiful stained glass window. We enhanced the curved bay window by installing a padded window seat to combine seating and more storage. To create a cohesive space, we used teal upholstery on the window seat to pick out the blue in the windows. This also compliments the soft grey and white of the furniture. It is important to us that all of our bedroom furniture in Dorset serves multiple functions. Underneath the seat, we installed Hettich hinges on the cupboard doors. This allowed the doors to fully open, creating ease of access but also discreet storage.
