A customer recently came to us for help in creating the perfect storage solution for their newly built dressing room. Never being ones to turn down a challenge, we embraced the chance to show off just how well our bespoke fitted wardrobes can work in any space!

The Problem

The biggest hurdle was creating a design that was not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. The customer’s dressing room had a unique shape, which can often be challenging when installing pre-made furniture. All the same, the customer wanted built-in wardrobes that would not only fit seamlessly but also enhance the room’s overall look and feel.

Fortunately, our bespoke furniture makers in Dorset have worked on a good many dressing rooms though the years and instantly knew how to go about making the most of every inch of space. One of the biggest advantages of bespoke fitted furniture is that it works in all rooms no matter how awkward or unusual the shape may be. Traditional storage solutions don’t have any such adaptability and would be no good in this situation.

Our Solution

The team understood that the key to success would be a tailor-made solution addressing the room’s unique dimensions and the customer’s personal style preferences. The end design included a row of fitted wardrobes with hinged doors on one side and an angled corner wardrobe opposite. This design worked beautifully, providing plenty of storage without limiting the available space.

After a consultation with the customer, we then opted for one of our latest and most popular finishes, Kombu Green, known for its versatility and elegance. Combined with the customer’s choice of tobacco Halifax, this ensured that the bespoke wardrobes had a timeless, sophisticated style. This was further enhanced by the addition of crystal doorknobs, adding a touch of elegance and luxury.

The end result was a bespoke dressing room storage solution that maximised space while maintaining a strong aesthetic appeal. The built-in wardrobes fitted perfectly into the unusual space, demonstrating that our approach to custom-made furniture is effective for any space or layout. The customer was thrilled with the final product, delighted their vision had been met in terms of both functionality and design.
